The Future of Water Quality Monitoring, All in One Platform

ree

From water treatment membranes to swimming pools, home water purifiers, smart appliances, and even ultrapure water in precision industries — reliable water quality monitoring has become essential everywhere. Yet until now, the market lacked ultra-compact, cost-effective turbidity sensors capable of delivering high-precision measurements for years without maintenance.

The.Wave.Talk is redefining this landscape by mass-producing next-generation turbidity sensors that work seamlessly across all applications, setting a new standard for water monitoring.

  1. In-Line Turbidity Meter

Designed for municipal and industrial facilities, the IQ-50 Inline Turbidity Meter integrates directly into pipeline systems for real-time monitoring. Operators no longer need separate sampling processes or external devices — turbidity data is available instantly for immediate response.

Its maintenance-free and auto-calibrating design ensures stable performance without frequent checks, making it an ideal solution for public utilities operating with limited manpower and budgets. Long-term field tests confirm that IQ-50 maintains accuracy for over a year without any cleaning, delivering unmatched reliability for continuous operation.

Until recently, real-time turbidity measurement at the household level was nearly impossible. The WP-4000 module changes that. Powered by deep learning algorithms and custom semiconductors, this ultra-compact sensor can operate over 10 years maintenance-free, while being much more cost-efficient than traditional sensors.

This breakthrough addresses a critical issue: studies show that 25% of household water purifiers may degrade water quality by releasing contaminants during filtration. With WP-4000, consumers and manufacturers gain access to real-time water quality data at the tap — ensuring that purified water is truly clean.

  1. Add-on Type(PipeTalk™) ※ Under Development

Aging infrastructure, leaks, and biofilm buildup challenge pipeline operators worldwide. PipeTalk™, currently under development, integrates AI with real-time turbidity data to enable predictive and preventative maintenance. Instead of reacting after problems arise, operators can now detect early warning signs and act before failures occur.

This is more than monitoring — it’s a paradigm shift in pipeline network management, paving the way for resilient, efficient, and sustainable public water systems.

Conventional turbidity measurement devices require regular maintenance and expert handling, but TheWaveTalk’s technology has proven to deliver the same performance as the world’s leading product while operating for at least five years without maintenance. Certified by KOLAS and verified by government agencies, it meets drinking water quality standards with excellent accuracy and reproducibility. Customer evaluations also confirmed that the sensor passed rigorous tests including pressure, vibration, thermal shock, and humidity. These results demonstrate long-term stability and reliability, enabling more efficient and cost-effective water quality monitoring in both public and industrial applications.

  1. Inline Bacteria Measurement Device ※ Under Development(PoC w/ LG Display)

The.Wave.Talk is also expanding into microbiological monitoring. In collaboration with LG Display (PoC underway), the company is developing the world’s first inline bacteria measurement device that works alongside turbidity sensing.

This device delivers microbial results 40x faster than traditional culture methods with a detection limit of 100 CFU/mL — about 100,000 times more precise than conventional optical tools. The implications are vast: from semiconductors and pharmaceuticals to biotechnology and food industries, this innovation provides the accuracy and speed required for modern precision manufacturing and health protection.

Conventional culture-based bacterial measurement requires expert handling and 24 to 48 hours to deliver results. In contrast, TheWaveTalk’s deep learning–powered technology can identify bacteria with remarkable precision in just seconds to minutes. Verified through KOLAS certification, government testing, and clinical trials at Severance Hospital, the system demonstrated 100% accuracy and the ability to distinguish bacteria at levels as low as 0.1%. Compared to FDA-certified products, it also showed excellent sensitivity and specificity, proving its value as a rapid and reliable solution for water quality monitoring and infection prevention.

Conventional bacterial and particle measurement methods rely on manual processes, periodic maintenance, and long analysis times—often taking 24 hours or more. In contrast, The.Wave.Talk’s bacteria and water quality sensor enables the world’s first real-time, simultaneous, and automatic measurement of both foreign particles and bacteria in water. By combining proprietary optical signal amplification with deep learning signal analysis, the system reduces maintenance needs by up to 50 times and shortens measurement time by 40 times, delivering results in just 30 minutes. With over 100 patents filed and 80 registrations, this breakthrough technology represents a major step forward in efficient, accurate, and low-maintenance water quality monitoring.
